
SUAF-AC Excel Scholarship
Are you an Arizona resident or a graduate of an Arizona high school who is currently enrolled at one of our Southern University System (SUS) schools? If so, the SUAF-AC Excel Scholarship may be right for you!
The Southern University Alumni Federation - Arizona Chapter (SUAF-AC) Excel Scholarship is for current and returning students at our Alma Mater. Award amounts range from $500 to $1500 for the Fall Semester, and are given to current students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership both on campus and in the community. The application deadline is Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible, applicants must be:

An Arizona resident or Arizona high school graduate

African American, Hispanic, or Indigenous American
-
A citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States
-
A current student at a Southern University System school
-
Enrolled full-time and have at least one (1) remaining semester at a Southern University System school

In good academic standing with a 3.00 cumulative GPA or higher
-
Classified as one of the following academic levels:

First-year transfer student (undergraduate only)

Freshman, sophomore, junior or senior

Graduate student
-

Available to attend the Southern University Alumni Federation/Industry/Student Engagement per academic year

Finalists for the SUAF-AC Excel Scholarship will be notified no later than November 9, 2022, to schedule an interview.
Interviews will be approximately 15 minutes for each prospective scholarship recipient.
WINNERS SELECTED & NOTIFIED
December 15, 2022
Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than December 2, 2022, via email, phone, and formal letter. Upon acceptance, funds will be disbursed around December 28, 2022.
